地理环境[edit]

村辖区内的大东山，山林、水资源和矿产都较为丰富，其中硅灰石、粗晶石和多金属矿的储量可观。[2]

大东山的旅游公路已基本全线通车，公路沿线自然村的交通状况大为改善。[2]

经济[edit]

村里以反季节无公害蔬菜、优质水稻和树木种植为主，大东山香芋和大东山西瓜在龙坪镇乃至连州市都是品牌农副产品。[1][2]

村内的硅灰石、多金属矿等矿产被用于发展新材料产业，并已有相应的基地建设。[1]

2017年11月9日，村民委员会注册登记。[1]

2019年9月，村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]

2021年，村获评「中国美丽休闲乡村」。[1]

2024年，村成为「清远市抓党建促乡村振兴示范村」创建单位。[1]

2024年3月，村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[2]

2026年，村纳入典型村培育名单。[3]
