2004年，孔围萝卜经农业部门认证属于绿色无公害蔬菜。2005年，萝卜的种植面积超过3000亩。[1]

村内另有特产孔塘烟，以醇香、油润闻名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，2015年8月，村以鸿星水晶梨获评「第五批全国一村一品示范村镇」。[2]

2017年10月，村获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号；2020年8月，村被列入「首批广东省一村一品一镇一业专业村」名单，产业为连州鹰嘴桃。[2]

2024年3月，村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[2]
