百度百科称，村庄四面环山，泉水充盈，村子被绿水环绕，故名山洲。[2]

文化[edit]

村中世居唐、张、何等七姓。现存明清时期的门楼、祠堂和湘南风格的古民居。2019年6月，该村列入第五批中国传统村落名录。[2]

2026年，镇党建办协调山洲村和大路边村党委开放村内宗祠、古迹点位，供访学团队参观。[3]
