星子镇隶属广东省清远市连州市，在连州市东北隅，坐落于小北江上游。它北面紧挨大路边镇，西侧与湖南的蓝山、临武两县相望，东侧与湖南莽山风景区相连。[1][4]

全镇辖1个社区居委会和20个村委会。据百度百科，截至2021年6月常住人口为32767人。镇名来自村名，早年一个大村即称星子。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据维基百科，早先的居民从顺头岭古道向南眺望，看到河谷下的村落星罗棋布，便把其中的大村称为星子，此后全镇以村名为镇名。[2]

博雅地名网称，早在春秋战国时期此处已有聚落，作为商埠的历史超过1400年。[3]

建国前后此地曾称星联乡，之后设星子镇，再改回乡制，隶属连县第二区；1958年组建星子人民公社，1983年成为区，1986年10月撤区复设镇制。[1]

2003年12月乡镇区划调整时，原清江镇和潭岭镇并入星子。[3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域属南岭地区，以山区丘陵为主，主要山脉为大东山和簸箕山，其中簸箕山的最高点天堂岭约1711米高。[2]

星子河是连江的上游段，流向由北至南，经保安镇进入连州。[2]

面积一说为471.61平方千米（百度百科），一说为462.5平方千米（博雅地名网），两处均未注明统计年份。[1][4]

2021年6月的常住人口统计为32767人。[1]

博雅地名网的镇情概况称，2005年村委会规模调整后全镇总人口为6.82万人，镇区城镇常住人口约1.5万人。[3]

经济[edit]

据百度百科，2017年全镇生产总值11.44亿元，比上年下降4.28%；农业总产值增幅约5.6%，数额为93571万元。[1]

博雅地名网称，镇内红葱、红瓜子、莲藕、水晶梨和黄烟已形成种植基地，其中水晶梨和黄烟是连州市的品牌产品。[3]

2026年，镇人大票决立项的圩镇及主要村道亮化项目于7月1日验收亮灯，全线258盏路灯覆盖约8公里，黄埔区派驻的帮扶工作队拨付专项资金100万元。[9]

文化[edit]

当地民间艺术包括舞火龙与十样锦锣鼓；中秋时的火龙习俗据称元代已有。[2]

星子豆沙饼是清远市级非遗项目，以红豆炒制豆沙馅，饼坯手工成型后烘烤，是镇内的特色食品。[8]

2026年8月，星子镇借第五届月饼文化节，组织省、市、县、镇四级人大代表深入豆沙饼作坊调研，并通过直播推介本地产品。[7]

名胜古迹[edit]

陶母桥在联西村与新村之间，桥身跨越星子河。清同治版《连州志》与1998年版《星子志》载其始建于明代，于2022年7月28日公布为第十批广东省文物保护单位。[5][6]

据百度百科，该桥原名新村五拱桥，为红砂岩拱券砌成的五孔半圆形桥，全长74.6米，东岸约50米处另有伴桥亭和一段古道，属「七里滂古道」线路。[5]

潭岭天龙峡为省级森林公园，峡谷由花岗岩构成，潭岭天湖位于海拔较高的山顶。据维基百科，镇内有连州市文物保护单位3处。[2]

据维基百科，镇内古迹还有湟溪关古道和黄村古村。黄村据称为明清时期的八卦古村，村中巷道按八卦图布局。[2]
