城北村是连州镇下辖的行政村，村委会设在连州的北面，村名由此而来。2020年起该村成为省级试点，试验档案工作如何服务农村基层社会治理，2022年经省档案局验收通过。[1][2]

历史沿革与名称[edit]

村名取自村委会在连州北方的位置。1999年，村委会定名为城北村村民委员会，此前的沿革与城西、城南等村相同。[1]

档案工作试点[edit]

2020年1月，城北村被确定为「省级档案工作服务农村基层社会治理试点」。2021年9月通过省级实地验收，2022年10月经省档案局公布通过验收。[2]

试点期间，村档案室设在村党群服务中心二楼，面积约60平方米，办公室、阅览室、库房分开设置。镇村两级的专兼职档案员共44名，其中镇级占16名，村委会19名，社区9名。[2]

荣誉与人居环境[edit]

2024年3月，城北村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]

2025年，城北、元潭两村完成内外立面提升共46栋。同年城北村被列为县级典型村培育对象。[3]
