连州镇是清远市连州市的市政府驻地，也是全市人口最多的镇，据博雅地名网，第七次全国人口普查结果公布于2021年6月。镇域内有连江河、东陂河流经，107国道过境。镇区保存有慧光塔、燕喜亭、燕喜山摩崖石刻等文物古迹，农业以连州菜心和沙坊粉为主要特色。[2][4][6]

历史沿革[edit]

1931年，连州县城被划为联璧、德政、兴贤、升余四个镇。九年后又合并为升德、联兴两镇，1945年再并成一镇，名为联德。1950年起这里称连州镇；1954年4月从城关区分出，重新定名连州镇，当年9月获广东省批准为区级镇。1958年9月组建连州镇人民公社，1967年4月恢复为镇制。2003年5月，原附城镇的行政区域并入连州镇。[3]

地理与人口[edit]

据博雅地名网，连州镇辖区面积约104.8平方千米，人口约16.99万人，人口密度每平方千米约1621人，在连州市各镇乡中人口居首。107国道过境，连江通航。[2]

经济[edit]

连州镇人民政府的2025年工作总结称，该年全镇粮食播种达38492亩，产出粮食14243吨；连州菜心的种植面积为1.65万亩，其产值约2.37亿元，产量为24796吨。全镇有工业企业34家，其中规模以上企业3家，前三季度工业总产值17486万元。2025年，镇里引进连州瑞澜酒店管理有限公司投资的中高端商务酒店项目，总投资额3500万元。[1]

2024年的工作总结提到，镇里着力推广沙坊粉产业，并培育发展预制菜。沙坊粉是沙坊村的传统米粉，其制作技艺在2018年获列入广东省省级非遗名录。[4][5]

基础设施与城市管理[edit]

2025年，连州镇的城镇扩容用地共完成征收450.03亩，其中「广东连州产业转移工业园基础设施配套二期」征收141.60亩，「连州市旅游大道项目二期」征收110.46亩。同年全镇拆除违建面积超过3800平方米，并治理面积超过1万平方米。「连州市连州镇农村人居环境治理工程（二期）」该期工程于2025年9月开工，投资额约5400万元。[1]

2026年上半年的工作总结列有若干项重点工程：「龙口灌区（连州段）续建配套及节水改造项目」的干渠主体工程加快推进；永清广高铁的站址与沿线钻孔工作涉及高堆、元潭、满地、石角、共和等村，依法推进，计划当年10月开工。[6]

名胜古迹[edit]

慧光塔位于慧光路，塔身空心，为九层六角楼阁式砖塔，通高50.13米。该塔始建于南北朝宋泰始四年（468年），唐代改建为砖木塔，宋代改为砖室塔。塔基建在小石山尖上，因地质运动塔身倾斜，故有「东方斜塔」之称。国务院在2006年5月公布其为第六批全国重点文物保护单位。[7][8]

燕喜亭在燕喜山麓，现为连州中学校园的一部分。亭建于唐代贞元十三年，即公元797年，最初叫宴喜亭；到了公元803年，韩愈经过连州，应王宏中之邀改名为燕喜亭并作《燕喜亭记》。亭内存清代戴熙书写的《燕喜亭记》碑刻。现存建筑为民国时期所建，为连州市级文物保护单位。[9][10]

燕喜山摩崖石刻群存宋、明、清、民国石刻四十余方，可考的有三十余方，其中包括南宋张浚的题名，题记于绍兴十九年（1149年），记其携子张拭等人游燕喜亭之事。摩崖石刻被列为广东省文物保护单位。[11][12]

燕喜山四角楼由连州城雅窑岗人张家齐于1916年建成。抗战时期，广东省政府机关多次迁到连县办公，中共地下党也曾在此作秘密联络和开会之用。这座楼于2011年被定为连州市第二批文物保护单位，2017年1月揭幕为连县抗战纪念馆。[12][13]

巾峰山摩崖石刻位于巾峰山麓，北宋熙宁元年（1068年）周敦颐游巾峰山时题「廉泉之源」四字。1981年经连县人民政府公布，列为文物保护单位；2002年又入选广东省第四批文物保护单位名单。[12]

连州刘公祠为纪念唐代连州籍宰相刘瞻而建，祠堂一楼以图文、碑刻和雕塑展示刘瞻的生平，二楼按古代连州书院格式复原，介绍本地历代书院。[12]

连州博物馆位于文化广场，建筑面积2500多平方米，1999年9月投入使用，藏品包括新石器时代以来的各类文物一千余件。[12]

连州中山公园由学宫改建。1930年，连县县长叶日嵩将学宫改建为「中山公园」，大成殿、列秀亭、敬一亭等建筑得以保存。[12]

中山南路历史文化街区正在改造，2026年上半年已完成用地红线范围内209间房屋的测量并公示。[6]

民俗与非遗[edit]

据博雅地名网，镇内的民俗文化有「高台小长鼓舞」「舞木猫」「连州舞马鹿」「瑶族布袋木狮舞」「十样锦」和「大神会」。[2]

每年沙坊洗佛节为当地非遗活动，2025年镇政府协助开展。2026年计划完成沙坊「浴佛节」配套设施建设。[1]
