平星村是黄花镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西北部，以丘陵为主，林木资源较为丰富[1]。2023年，平星村与岩背村共同建设了高山茶种植示范基地[2]。

地名由来[edit]

驻地地势平坦，周围有小山罗列，远望如同天上繁星，故名平星[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1976年设平星大队，归岩背公社。1983年改设平星乡政府，1986年为平星村委会，1990年为平星管理区，1998年10月再次成为平星村委会，延续至今[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，平星村的名字出现在广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中[1]。2019年12月，平星村入选第二批国家森林乡村名单[1]。2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予平星村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号[1]。连塘陈屋、格凹两个自然村在2023年5月获得「2022年广东省卫生村」称号[1]。

旅游[edit]

平星村的石蛤小院是镇内的乡村网红点位，2026年国庆假期前来打卡的游客人气高涨[3]。
