村委会前面有条大坑，村址又在镇东部，故名东水。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1952年间，东水、东升与岭下合并为万龙社。[1]

东水村以肉鸽一项入选第二批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单，名单于2021年9月公布。[1]
