汶潭村位于东华镇南面，距镇政府约7公里。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村处丘陵地带，一条小溪流经此地，溪边有一处深潭，因潭水浑浊，俗称汶水，村名由此而来。[1]
行政沿革[edit]
1954年，村中在一座祠堂内设队办公，称汶潭大队。2004年12月，汶潭村与坝仔村委会合并，改称汶潭村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，汶潭村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
