地名由来[edit]
周边山中出产金矿石，山洞又多，因而取名金洞。[1]
行政沿革[edit]
1998年命名时，村委会称金山村委会和中洞村委会（市委、市政府发文〔1998〕53号）。2004年12月13日两者合并，设为金洞村委会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，金洞村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
