白坑村位于水边镇，是由原白沙迳片与大苟坑片合并而成的行政村。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

白坑之名出自两片地方合并：原白沙迳片与大苟坑片并为一村。[1]

1950年这里设白坑乡，1958年改设白坑大队，1983年又设白坑乡政府。1986年起改为村委会，1990年曾设白坑管理区，1998年10月7日才定名为白坑村委会。[1]

近年的建设[edit]

镇妇联在省妇联的帮扶下探索「美丽庭院+儿童之家」，先在流寨和白坑两村的儿童之家旁建设“小沙池”，供儿童户外玩耍。[2]

白坑村党群服务中心经过升级改造，与热水村的同类中心一样，分为核心功能区和拓展功能区，融合了党员教育、便民办事和休闲娱乐等功能。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，白坑村被评为「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]
