地名与沿革[edit]
解放前，这里是廖屋、新屋下、潭角、山塘坪和老陈坑几个村合成的一片，各处分布在不同方向，村名便由此而来。[1]
1950年这里设五角乡，1958年起称五角大队，1983年又成为五角乡。1986年起改为村委会，1990年一度设管理区，1998年10月7日定名为五角村委会。[1]
人口与耕地[edit]
博雅地名网载全村总人口1996人，耕地2668.18亩；百度百科载总人口1939人，两者年份均未注明。[1][2]
产业[edit]
果树、淮山与蚕桑养殖是村里的主要生产。2023年，村里引入“水边特糯香芋”的种植项目，规模约120亩。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年12月，五角村入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。2021年12月，五角村被评为「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1][2]
