下步村是广东省清远市英德市连江口镇的一个行政村，位于镇北面，距镇政府约6公里[1]。村名因驻地设于下步圩而得[2]。

博雅地名网所载人口4098人（年份未注），辖38条自然村，耕地1107亩[1]。田间种的多是冬瓜、砂糖桔和麻竹，砂糖桔的产出已有一定规模[1]。

沿革[edit]

1949年以前，此地属怀厚乡。1950年设下步乡人民政府，1954年组建初级社，1956年改为高级社，1958年成立大队。1983年复为乡人民政府，1986年改为村委会，1990年为管理区，1998年10月7日改设为村委会[3]。

英德市人民政府网的2024年工作总结，把下步村麻竹笋厂建设项目列为下半年要落地建设投产的项目[4]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，下步村上榜2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予下步村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号[1]。2026年1月，下步村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
