历史沿革[edit]
此村1958年才有大队，1983年设苗花乡；1986年起是村委会，1990年并入管理区的建制，1998年10月7日又以村委会的形式存在，至今未变。[1]
村名的来历：此地原称焦花甲，土地改革时期，驻村工作队见这里山清水秀、禾苗肥壮，改称苗花。[1][2]
经济[edit]
村里地力好、水源足，属粮食产区；调整种植结构后，改种沙粮桔和竹笋等经济作物。百度百科还提到，村里引进了增城迟菜心的种植，配套做菜干加工，并把成片耕地整合起来，辟出一处丝苗米种植基地。[1][2]
文化[edit]
苗花村在2019年12月被列入「第二批国家森林乡村」。[1][2]
2023年，省爱卫会将「2022年广东省卫生村」的称号给了村内的五斗种、陈屋楼、中心坑三个自然村。[1]
2019年9月，苗花村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
