龙建村在横石塘镇南部，距镇政府约8公里，人口1641人，耕地约2105亩，辖7个自然村。[1]建国后成立合作社，因社址靠近龙角庙，取名龙建。[1]

沿革[edit]

1973年，龙狮大队中分出龙建大队；1986年，龙建村委会从龙狮乡政府中分设。[1]1998年10月改设村委会。[1]2019年9月，村子列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
