横石塘镇位于广东省清远市英德市北部，是英德市下辖的一个镇，镇政府驻横石塘圩。[1]截至2021年10月，全镇下辖2个社区和9个行政村；维基百科依统计资料列出的村级区划单位为11个。[1][9]镇内以茶叶和麻竹笋为主要产业，境内有仙桥地下河景区和石门台自然保护区等名胜。[5][7][8]

历史沿革[edit]

横石塘镇的建制可以上溯到明洪武二年（1369年）。[4]清光绪十六年（1890年）这一带设上隅、中隅、下隅三乡，1936年又增设三隅乡。新中国成立后，三隅乡先归英德县第一区，1952年3月改隶英德县第十区。[4]

1955年8月设横石塘区，1957年11月改称横石塘乡。1959年4月，这里成立了横石塘人民公社。1981年7月，云岭人民公社自其中析出。1983年7月改为区公所，1986年11月再改为镇，沿用至今。[4]

地名的由来与地形有关：墟地北边，马古石山与牛岗路山相对横亘，山下积着一口大水塘，于是叫横石塘。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域面积约201.83平方千米。[1]东面邻英红镇，南面与英城街道、石灰铺镇毗连，西面接石牯塘镇，北面与曲江区接壤。[1]

仙桥地下河在镇内，距英德市区约18公里。[7]这一喀斯特景观形成于约2.5亿年前，由两段暗河与中间的明河连贯而成，开放部分全长约3.8公里。游客先乘船过暗河，再步行游览，一趟约需一个半至两个小时。[7]

博雅地名网的镇概况称石门台为省级自然保护区。[3]百度百科记载的是「广东石门台国家级自然保护区」，2012年设立，总面积33555公顷，在全省自然保护区中面积居首。[8]两者对级别的记载不一致，此处并录。

人口[edit]

2021年的人口普查数据显示，全镇人口为1.82万人，统计时点为当年6月。[2]百度百科则载2019年末户籍人口31178人。[1]两项数字相差悬殊，来源未加说明，此处并列。

经济[edit]

茶叶是镇里的主要产业。规模化茶园有10个，其中以积庆里红茶谷为代表，该茶谷被称作“中国美丽田园”。[5]2025年全镇种茶面积约1.62万亩，年产约1300吨，综合产值约9亿元。[5]

麻竹笋栽种约4.3万亩，每年鲜笋产量7万吨左右，产值在5亿元以上。[5]2025年，全镇接待游客123.32万人次左右，比上年增长约34%。[5]

投资方面，市重点项目「广东华电清远英德英红红桥农光互补光伏发电项目」总投资2.35亿元，2025年在镇内落地。[5]2024年，镇里还跟进了「积庆里仙湖旅游度假区」、「怡品茗茶叶种植和研发加工项目」等一批项目。[6]

2025年，镇里以“农文旅+研学”为方向，获评英德市研学示范镇。[5]镇级博物馆「美丽客厅」与三家茶企的研学项目衔接在一起，文教智谷项目也在加快建设，新增了环湖森林火车和滑草场。[5]

2024年，镇里以“百千万工程”为抓手推进美丽圩镇“七个一”建设，累计投入超过250万元，在街巷主干道上装了432盏太阳能路灯。[6]水利项目上，为市区石门台水库工程，136.5米高程以下的11户农户在2025年汛期前完成搬迁。[5]

规划与公共服务[edit]

2024年，镇里梳理了今后五年的政府投资项目，涉及25项、资金约10.28亿元，报送市发改部门申请入库。[6]《清远市英德市横石塘镇（山水风光类特色镇）乡镇建设规划》当年报清远市复核评审。[6]

2025年，镇里完成农贸市场改造超过5000平方米，美丽河道绿道建设超过2000米。[5]2026年的工作计划里，镇卫生院拟迁到镇区，中学运动场用地手续也在协助办理，石门台的综合治理和森林防灭火工作将常态化进行。[5]

名胜古迹[edit]

除仙桥地下河和石门台保护区外，博雅地名网还列出热水湖与琵琶山两处景点。[3]热水湖的冷暖泉又名鸳鸯泉，热泉水温常年约50摄氏度。[3]
