更古村是广东省清远市英德市波罗镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的东面，距镇政府约7公里。[1][4]

村名与旧时的集市有关：此地曾有一处更古圩，村委会便以圩名为村名。[2]

沿革[edit]

1952年为更古小乡，1958年改称大队，1983年设乡政府，1986年成为村委会，1990年一度称管理区，1998年10月重新设为村委会。[3]

产业与民生[edit]

村里已建成一座麻竹笋加工厂。规划中，要延伸到竹材的综合利用，耕地上拟种杂粮和蔬菜，并试办竹林徒步、竹笋采摘之类的小型文旅项目。[5]

镇政府计划为更古村建设饮水工程，改善供水条件。[1]
