尧西村是石牯塘镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西北面，距镇政府约4公里。[1] 新中国成立后，村子从尧鲤乡分出，因位于石牯塘的西部，取名尧西。[1]

沿革[edit]

尧西之地在1949年还叫老鲤乡。1951年由老鲤乡划出一部分，设立了农会和合作社。此后，1958年有了尧西生产大队，1983年成为乡政府，1986年变为村委会，1990年又称管理区。尧西村委会以现名运作，是在1998年10月7日之后。[1]
