美村是广东省清远市英德市石灰铺镇下辖的行政村，村委会位于镇东北面，距镇政府约4公里，办事处设在英含公路旁。[1]

此地驻地建于山的背面，原名“背村”；建国后为美化地名，以“背”的方言读音改作“美”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

美村先于1958年成立美村大队，1983年改设美村乡政府。1986年起称村委会，1990年改为管理区，1998年10月7日又恢复为村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉与建设[edit]

2019年9月，美村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。2021年12月，获2021年广东省卫生村称号。2023年5月，该村横岗村、高岭下村等10个村获2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]

学校的跑道经过升级，惠及200余名学生。[2]

2025年，美村列为拟培育的典型村之一。[3]
