燕石村是广东省清远市英德市浛洸镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西北面，距镇政府约11公里，辖9条自然村，共14个村民小组。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据康熙版《英德县志》记载，村名所指的石头位于浛洸上游，方正如印，立在河中，紫燕常在石上筑巢，因此得名。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

建国前，燕石归大湾古道管辖；1952年划归浛洸后先是燕石小乡，1957年并入鱼水成为耕作区，1958年成立燕石大队。1983年归鱼水乡政府管理，1986年设燕石村委会，中间经过1990年的管理区，1998年10月7日重新成为村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，燕石村获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号；2023年5月，村内的六队村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
