侧塘村是大站镇东面的行政村，距镇政府约19公里，村办事处设在下太公路旁。村子四面环山，形似一口塘，村名由此而来。村内种养业发展较快，养殖天农鸡，种植砂糖桔，并出产石英砂。[1][2]
