大蓝村是大站镇东面的行政村，距镇政府约8公里，村委会设在银英公路边。村名来自村内一处地形似摇篮的地方；原来的生产大队部也设在这里，而“篮”与“蓝”同音，于是定名为大蓝。[1]

《英德市大站镇大蓝村村庄规划（2021-2035年）》由市人民政府在2024年12月25日批准，批复文号为英府函〔2024〕170号。研究范围为大蓝村全部村域，面积1891.05公顷。[2]

按该规划，至2035年，村内永久基本农田不少于137.99公顷，生态保护红线不少于1132.41公顷，规划定下的村庄建设用地为73.70公顷。[2]
