大站社区是大站镇的中心社区，位于镇区中心，在镇政府附近，办事处设在旱塘南路。社区的名称来自清末民初粤汉铁路在此设站：当地人把火车叫作“大车”，把火车站叫作“大站”，此后便成了地名。[1][2]
社区与英德市区隔江相望，英德人民大桥、浈阳大桥等跨江通道把它与市中心连在一起，银英公路和英佛公路又连向广清高速公路。博雅地名网称，它是英德联系南北的门户之一。[2]
地名与交通[edit]
英德火车站设在镇中心，京广铁路与北江贯穿南北，社区处于这一交通走廊之中。社区还被纳入英德市东区的市政规划。[2][1]
博雅地名网称，到珠江三角洲各市区的车程约为一至三小时，这使社区成为投资置业的集中地，多个大型经济项目已在此落户。[2]
