榔社村属英德市青塘镇，位于镇西南部，与白沙镇毗邻，辖25个自然村，距墟镇约10公里。[1]

村名经历了从「榔下」到「榔社」的改动：1955年成立互助合作社时改称榔社。[1]截至2020年，村内共成立9个经济合作社，由榔社经济联合社统一管理集体资产与农业生产服务。[2]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

相传村北的山上草木丛生，长有一种蕨类植物「榔」草，山因此称榔山，村落建在山下，于是叫榔下。[1]

建国前此地为「第二保」，建国后称「第二村」，其中曾屋与金鸡两处并入「第三村」。1951年改为新联乡，1958年称榔社大队。[1]1983年设榔社乡政府，1986年改为村委会，1990年为管理区。1998年10月7日改设村委会，2004年12月6日金岭村委会并入。[1]

经济[edit]

2024年，村里投资超过220万元建设青和农产品加工厂，并办理了食品生产许可证。[4]

村集体与驻地供销社组建瑞禾专业合作社，整合了150亩零散耕地，建成水稻种植示范基地，当年稻谷营收9.5万元。合作社采用保底收益、按股分红与务工收入相结合的利益联结方式。[3]
