地名由来[edit]

村旁一条小溪中有石头，石上有五个小石峰，地名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

五石乡设立于1950年，其后于1958年改为五石大队。1983年又设五石乡政府，1986年称村委会；五石管理区设于1990年，1998年10月7日起由村委会管理。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地约1500亩。广东省首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单中，五石村以丝苗米入选。[1]
