江古山村是横石水镇西北部的一个行政村，下设28个自然村。村名据称由客家方言「扛鼓山」谐音演变而来，村内保有九龙楼、双桂楼等清代客家围楼。2023年，江古山村入选广东省首批「百千万工程」典型村。[2][3]
沿革[edit]
博雅地名网的沿革写法是：村址1952年为乡，1958年成大队；1983年乡政府设于此，1986年转为村委会，1990年改称管理区。1998年10月7日管理区重新改为村委会，此后一直沿用。[1]
2016年10月，村庄被列入第五批广东省古村落名单；2019年9月，村庄又进入2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单。[1]
人口与规划[edit]
博雅地名网记村民942户、4932人，耕地面积4290亩，年份未注明。[1]
英德市人民政府在2024年12月25日批准了《英德市横石水镇江古山村村庄规划（2023—2035年）》。到2035年，村内永久基本农田不少于315.40公顷，生态保护红线不少于738.50公顷，村庄建设用地定为107.03公顷。[5]
产业[edit]
2026年1月，村里利用18亩闲置土地引入投资120万元的种苗培育基地，建起20个现代化种植大棚，年产百香果苗、甘蔗苗各100万株，外售种苗约200万株，年产值约200万元。基地带动50至80个本地就业岗位，并预计每年为村集体经济增加约4万元收入。[6]
2025年工作总结称，村里的大米烘干厂整体进度约九成，甘蔗良种繁育基地已经投产。[4]
水利与民生[edit]
2025年底，村内新联组近百亩农田的灌溉渠建成，新建总长约330米的混凝土渠道。渠道由村民筹工筹劳，驻镇帮镇扶村工作队出经费，村委统筹协调。[7]
古围楼与红色遗址[edit]
百度百科载，村内有九龙楼、双桂楼等清代客家围楼。[2]
镇里的年度工作文件提出，要推动九龙楼、崇福楼的修缮工程。[9]
镇里计划依托村内的中共英东县委旧址和林名勋旧居，把红色文化与古围楼串成研学路线。[3][9]
博雅地名网载，林名勋（1921—1982年）是江古山林屋村人，1938年冬加入中国共产党。[1]
文化活动[edit]
2023年起，广州商学院艺术设计学院的乡村振兴突击队连续在村内开展墙绘，截至2026年已完成12面主题墙绘，并修补了前几年的旧墙绘。[8]
