横石水是广东省清远市英德市横石水镇下辖的社区，官方名称为横石社区，位于镇中心区。社区地名取自与翁源县隔河相望的旧时情形：两岸群众往返靠船横渡，河中又多石。[1]

地名由来[edit]

社区与翁源县翁城一河相隔，群众往返靠船横渡，河里多石头，因此得名横石水。[1]

人口与村域[edit]

博雅地名网记社区辖21个自然村，居民与村民合计1354户、4758人，另有耕地2370亩，这些数字没有注明年份。[1]

《英德市横石水镇横石社区村庄规划（2025—2035年）》经英德市人民政府批准，批准时间为2025年12月18日。规划范围为社区村域，面积926.35公顷。规划期至2035年，社区永久基本农田不少于260.50公顷；城镇开发边界面积54.96公顷，村庄建设用地66.11公顷。[2]

2026年1月，社区获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

2025年，社区里的主干道风貌提升，「三清三拆三整治」，以及四小园、垃圾收集点与公厕的升级，五类项目均已做完，并经市级验收合格。[3]

产业与环境[edit]

2024年，社区引进2家种植公司，流转土地600多亩；引入的海佳仕种子公司在社区建起40亩蔬菜育苗基地。[4]

同年，社区的上片、下片、塘坎下和吴屋等特色村建设项目顺利完成。[4]
