洲西村是广东省清远市英德市沙口镇北部的行政村，濒临北江，下辖12个村小组，耕地面积2405.8亩。村名因村落位于一小块沙洲的西侧而来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，此地先归高桥大队；1972年才从中析出，成为洲西大队。1983年设乡政府，1986年成为村委会，1990年一度是管理区，1998年10月7日正式定为村委会。[1]

概况[edit]

村子地势低洼，洪涝时有发生。据百度百科，截至2007年，全村449户、2265人，当年人均收入2550元。2006年7月18日的洪灾损失惨重；2005年通车的洲西公路使对外交通有所改善。[3]

村子以种植业为主，在清远市的帮扶下逐步发展养渔、养猪产业。2023年，村里试种冬种马铃薯160亩。[3]

教育[edit]

2024年8月，洲西村公益基金会在村委会会议室颁发奖学金，覆盖硕士研究生、本科、中考和小学各阶段的获奖学生共24名。[4]
