蕉园村是广东省清远市英德市沙口镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域最北端，与韶关市曲江区乌石镇接壤，属边远山区。全村下辖25个村小组，耕地面积2777.5亩。村名的由来与山地植被有关：村子四周环山，大小山坑里长满山蕉，故名蕉园。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年组建蕉园大队；1983年此地成为蕉园乡政府所在；1986年称蕉园村委会；1990年一度改为管理区；1998年10月7日重新设为村委会，至今未变。[1]
