廊步村是英德市英城街道下辖的行政村，村名来自村落两侧大山夹峙、形如楼房洞式走廊的地形。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村落原名榔木洞，后因两侧大山夹峙，形如楼房的洞式走廊，改称廊步洞，最终简称廊步。[1]

建制上，1998年10月7日又恢复为廊步村委会，此前的1990年为廊步管理区，1986年转为廊步村委会，1983年改为廊步乡政府，1958年先设廊步大队。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。2021年12月，村获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2023年5月，马头下村、范屋村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]

近年工作[edit]

2026年1月，村委会在冷水坑村的6亩耕地上建起红松茸示范基地，由班子成员带头集资试种，并邀请市民前来采摘。[2]

村委负责人预计，红松茸亩产可达1000斤，按当时市价每斤15元计算，效益可观。[2]

五年发展计划把石英砂矿产开发当作主要动力，计划形成特色种植、生态水产、水库旅游与石英开发等产业体系，并依托“两指三制”治理模式。[3]

2025年工作总结提到，街道解决了廊步村的“民心路”等群众诉求。[4]
