马头冲村是涡水镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东南部，距镇政府约13公里。据博雅地名网，村委会下辖7个小组，人口1135人。村内出产一种本地土茶，名为马头茶。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村的历史可追溯到1950年，当时乡镇府驻在马头村。此后，1957年有了马头冲大队的名称；1974年初隶属九寨公社，年底转入涡水公社，称马头大队。进入八十年代，先设马头乡，再于1987年定为村民委员会。1989年曾设管理区，1999年又恢复村民委员会的建制。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，马头冲村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。2019年12月，村子入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]

本村2022年1月被广东省乡村振兴局列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。同年10月，本村经省级部门认定为「2022年广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，产业为大叶茶。[1]
