吊尾村属连南瑶族自治县（广东省清远市）寨岗镇，位于镇政府南部，离镇政府约8公里，离县城约44公里。[1]

村名取自旗山尾端的形状：远望此处山尾如同倒挂的鱼尾，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时此地属阳山。1940年称木崀甲，归寨岗乡六保；新中国成立初编为第十七村，仍属寨岗乡。[1]

1953年划归连南，设木崀乡；1961年设吊尾生产大队，归寨南公社；1983年建吊尾乡，属寨南区；1986年改称村，1988年成为管理区，1999年撤区设村，吊尾村民委员会于此设立。[1]

经济[edit]

据2026年的政府通讯，吊尾村依托寨南温矿泉与吊尾风洞等生态资源，规划寨岗生态文化乡村食宿旅游项目；全镇同期启动吊尾村的典型村培育建设。[2][3]

2009年统计：21个村民小组，804户，3453人，辖区15.3平方公里，耕地2244亩，水田占1344亩，旱地为900亩。[1]
