塘凼村是大麦山镇下辖的行政村，与望佳岭、中心岗、后洞、塘梨坑、白芒、上洞、新寨、黄莲等村相邻。2023年4月，该村列入2022年广东省「乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

在1971年之前，这一带是菜坑生产大队的地段。1972年，另立塘凼大队，菜坑大队随之撤销。1983年这里成为乡，1987年5月转为塘凼村民委员会，1989年10月称管理区，1999年4月回到村民委员会的名称。[2]

革命老区[edit]

镇政府2021年的工作总结称，塘凼村委所在地也属革命老区，镇里正推进建设，并希望借此发展红色旅游。[3]
