黄莲村在大麦山镇南端，东边紧挨寨岗镇，南边与连山壮族瑶族自治县接壤。全镇平均海拔以它最高，最高峰名天堂山。全村下辖4个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

黄莲在1950年归三区的菜坑行政村管辖，1958年隶属菜坑生产大队。1961年起，它脱离菜坑、单独成为黄连生产大队。1983年变为乡，1987年5月才改为村民委员会。1989年10月又设为黄莲管理区，直至1999年4月重新定名为村民委员会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

黄莲村凭借黄莲茶，列入广东省农业农村厅在2020年8月公布的首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网载，全村有140户、551人，未注年份；该网站还记有，2008年村集体经济收入为2.2万元，农民平均每年收入约2611元。[1]

镇政府2021年的工作总结称，黄莲茶是全镇的支柱产业之一，连片茶园约800亩。同年，镇里在黄莲村新寨小组的一片茶园上实施低产茶园改造，面积25亩，前期投入39.45万元。截至2021年10月，该村茶青产量约6万斤，折干茶约12000斤。[3]
