2004年10月8日，县人民政府以山府函〔2004〕70号文批复，命名为高莲村委会。[1]

人口与民族[edit]

博雅地名网记辖区29.6平方公里，共967户、4131人。居民中有壮族、瑶族和汉族，汉族居多。村里下设十二个自然村和二十六个村民小组，有党总支部一个，中共党员95名。百度百科另记总人口3738人，两说年份均未注明。[1][2]
