桂联村是连山壮族瑶族自治县永和镇下辖的行政村，位于镇西南部，距镇政府约1公里，西面与广西大宁相接。全村有2594人，耕地2236亩，林地11078亩。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名取自最大的自然村桂花，加一个「联」字，寓意联合其他自然村。[1]

人口民族[edit]

全村10个自然村，12个村民小组；自然村名称有官前、田心、双桂、大寨、植槐、乾隆、桂花里、下里、上里和石坪。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村民收入以水稻、水果、蔬菜为主，兼养家畜、三鸟、鱼，也种植黄烟。水田2093亩。[1][2]

村内「桂联生态百果园」于2018年启动，利用下辖5个自然村及村集体的土地，果树品种达20多种，三华李、沃柑、番石榴、皇帝柑均有种植。据中证网，园区占地约553亩；永和镇政府网页则写为700多亩土地。2019年，园区被评为县级「森林康养基地」；2022年4月，被评为省级休闲农业与乡村旅游示范点。[2][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年属永西乡；1958年10月起为桂联大队；1983年因政社分开而设桂联乡；1986年改为桂联村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年又改回村委会，直到今天。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予桂联村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。2024年1月，桂联村被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。2024年4月，桂联村入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
