历史沿革[edit]
木家塘村的建制沿革与大崀镇其他村相近：1940年设保，1987年1月改为村委会，1999年3月由管理区改为村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村级办公楼建于20世纪90年代，共两层，建筑面积200平方米。通往木家塘的村道经多方筹资已全部硬化。[2]
人口民族[edit]
村概况所载，农业人口609人，常年外出务工330人。村内设木家塘和塘尾两个理事会，木家塘理事会现有总人口466人，塘尾理事会现有总人口166人。[2]
