坪洞村位于阳山县杨梅镇东部，是杨梅镇管辖的行政村，离墟镇约5公里。村名的来由：四周皆山，而村委会驻在一块较大的平地上。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1940年此处设保，1952年改设乡政府，1958年10月改为生产大队，1983年11月又恢复为乡政府。1987年1月改为村委会，1989年11月改为管理区，1999年3月重新称村委会，此后沿用至今。[1]
人口与耕地[edit]
博雅地名网载，该村耕地788亩，其中水田596亩；全村辖8个村民小组，共202户、918人，劳动力386人。该页引用的经济数据为2012年，当年村集体经济收入为3.8万元。[1]
荣誉与产业[edit]
2017年10月，「第一批广东省卫生村」称号落到该村，授予单位是广东省爱国卫生运动委员会。[1]
据百度百科，该村2020年获评「广东省森林乡村」。村里利用水浪花谷的千亩李树景观，发展赏花、品果的乡村旅游，每年接待游客近万人次。[2]
