地名与沿革[edit]

2005年4月，西塘、连陂两个村委会合并，由村民要求各取一字为名，设立西连村委会。[1]

荣誉与产业[edit]

2020年8月，西连村入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。以淮山为产品，2020年11月被农业农村部认定为第十批全国一村一品示范村镇。[1]

在国家农业产业强镇项目支持下，西连村建成阳山淮山农业公园，实行「合作社+基地+农户」模式，集种植加工、休闲农业和研学体验于一体。[2]
