村集体经济主要来自电站分红，村民致富渠道主要是种养。据博雅地名网，2006年该村被评为县水果基地。2005年，鸦山湖村委会撤销后并入岩口村委会。[1]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
