历史沿革[edit]
村的建制变化如下：1940年设保，1952年改为乡政府，1958年10月改为生产大队，1983年11月复称乡政府，1987年1月改为村委会，1989年11月改为管理区，1999年3月再改回村委会，此后沿用。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2013年底，全村共880户，总人口3817人，劳动力2290人。[1]
经济[edit]
村民收入主要来自种植优质水果、淮山和外出务工。2013年，村集体经济收入4.2万元，农民年人均纯收入7993元。[1]
村内建有供港蔬菜种植基地，以党建带动企业、基地连接农户的方式组织种植。[3]
2026年1月，杜步村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
