大塘坪村是江英镇下辖的行政村，与镇府相距28公里左右，村中2096名居民，耕地约3965亩。村域以山地丘陵为主，林地广阔，水电资源较丰富。[1][2]

村里有一座8550亩的绿冲林场。村内建有新村电站，装机容量1600千瓦，每年发电约600万度。[1]

村民小组与自治[edit]

村下辖28个村民小组，百度百科则将其称为28个自然村。村民曾以村民自治投票的方式，处理白竹岭等14个村民小组的生态公益林补偿金事项。[1][2]

道路建设[edit]

2019至2020年，村里实施村道硬底化工程，修建水泥路约11公里，总投资约400万元，资金来自上级补助、镇村自筹，以及广州市黄埔区城管局的帮扶资金60万元。[2]
