广东佛冈观音山省级自然保护区位于清远市佛冈县境内，是广东省的省级自然保护区，1985年建立，属广东第一批成立的自然保护区。[1][2]保护区设有管理处，并面向学校和社区开展科普活动。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

保护区于1985年建立。1988年出版的《广东省政府公报》刊载「广东省自然保护区一览表」，表中列有佛冈观音山保护区，所在县为佛冈县，面积3000公顷，建立年份1985年。[1]佛冈县的快懂百科条目则写该保护区面积为2816.8公顷，未注年份。[2]两个面积的来源不同，本条目两数并列，并分别注明出处。

地理环境[edit]

佛冈县的地势自东北向西南下降，县域西北部的观音山是主要山脉之一，西北县界上的亚婆髻海拔1218.8米，为全县的最高点。[3]博雅地名网的佛冈县高岗镇一页写该镇辖境包括观音山省级自然保护区。[5]

生物资源[edit]

保护区记录有野生维管植物1518种，分属178科、701属，其中珍稀濒危及国家重点保护植物共40种，另有新植物4种，特有植物5种。[2]野生动物记录为164种，其中16种为珍稀濒危动物，包括松雀鹰、白鹇、斑林狸等。[2]

文化[edit]

2026年5月18日至28日，保护区管理处以国际生物多样性日为契机开展科普活动，走进高镇小学、高岗中学，并到社区开展宣传。[4]保护区设有标本室和文化长廊，供学生参观。[4]
