地名与历史[edit]
村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载，是原有一处坪场（当地称“社”），且地势较为平坦。[1]
1951年3月设社坪乡。1959年5月转为大队，1983年12月再为乡，1987年1月设村委会。1990年至1995年为管理区，1995年起为村委会。[1]
党群服务与幸福积分[edit]
2023年10月，村里将党群服务中心外的空地改建为党建文化广场，设有党建文化宣传长廊、篮球场和停车场。[2]
据2024年11月的报道，党群服务中心设幸福积分超市，累计办理积分存折683张，并推行“三单制”服务，截至当月完成群众点单200余件。[2]
上文岭自然村[edit]
2019年4月，县农业农村局对上文岭自然村的「省定贫困村社会主义新农村示范村」工作进行了验收。验收中认为，上文岭是全镇首个完成这项工作的村庄。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，社坪村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
