高镇村位于高岗镇南部，距镇街约5公里，东南与石角镇交界，北与新联村相邻，东与三江村接壤[1]。全村共45个村民小组，总面积67.33平方千米，是全镇面积最大的行政村[1]。村域内有佛冈县最高峰观音山[2]。
观音山[edit]
观音山海拔1219.08米，是佛冈县最高峰，1985年经广东省人民政府批准列为省级自然保护区。区内植物有1073种，动物有238种，其中有几种被称为古植物的“活化石”[2]。山中有落差120米的天然瀑布[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
1959年5月改为高镇大队，1983年12月复为高镇乡，1987年1月改为高镇村委会，1990年至1995年为高镇管理区，1995年起为村委会，2005年与东坑村委会合并[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，高镇村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。2020年，高镇村获评「广东省森林乡村」[3]。
