墩下村在高岗镇北部，距镇街约3公里，北侧接长江村，西南侧与宝山村、高岗村为邻[1]。全村32个村民小组，面积17.55平方千米[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村子建在一座土墩的脚下，始建于明洪武十四年（1381年），村名由此而来[2]。1959年改为墩下大队，1983年底改为乡，1987年初设村委会，1995年以后称村委会；2005年4月同廖排村委会合并[1]。

人口与产业[edit]

博雅地名网记全村总人口4262人（年份未注明），百度百科则为4028人[1][2]。村中种植砂糖桔约1500亩，博雅地名网估算年产约4000吨（年份未注明）[1]。

文化[edit]

村中保留君庐、三德园等客家围屋。君庐门前的石匾出自清末榜眼朱汝珍之手，三德园把中式与西式建筑手法结合在一起[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，墩下村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会将「2022年广东省卫生村」称号授予墩下村的石颈村[1]。
