地名由来[edit]
村旁有一座名为“岳山”的高山。山的上方一带称上岳，下方一带称下岳，本村位于山下，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地清代归清远县潖一乡，民国时属清远县民安乡。新中国成立后设村，初称乡。1961年5月起改设大队，1983年末复为乡，1987年初设村委会，1990年至1995年间为管理区，1995年11月复称村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
百度百科载，全村总面积11.3平方千米，村民为朱姓单姓村落。[2]
全村耕地3418.6亩，地势开阔平坦，属粮食产区。农业结构调整后，村中多种砂糖，并发展水产养殖。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2023年4月公布的2022年广东省「乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单中，村在列。2026年1月，村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
