小潭村位于石角镇西北面，距镇政府约15公里，村名来自辖区地形。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

因所辖地形像潭，村以此得名。[1][2]

村落与人口[edit]

村内设33个村民小组，户籍人口2853人，耕地1511亩，另有山地1.6万多亩。博雅地名网列出的21条自然村中，有下坎、红崩冈、凤朝等。[1]

产业与典型村建设[edit]

村庄以花卉产业为抓手，发展「花卉主题度假村落」，种植兰花100亩，引进香水百合20亩，并以食用菌种植拓展产业，产品销往珠三角地区。石角镇将其列为四个“百千万工程”典型村之一。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年为小潭社；1958年至1983年改称大队，1984年至1986年称乡，1990年至1995年设管理区，1998年改为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，村庄被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2026年1月，村庄获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
