地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网的解释是：村署设在佛冈村内，佛冈村又与吉田村相连，村名由此而来。[1]

百度百科称，村内下辖的自然村有黄文园、大围、联二、陂头和松树墩等，各自然村分布较散，村民总数约3442人。村内人口流动大，管理难度较高。[2]

成立于2012年4月的冈田经济联合社，承担集体资产管理与农业生产服务。[2]

文化体育[edit]

2021年12月，冈田村少年醒狮团在省级龙狮锦标赛的少年组南狮项目中夺得冠军，镇党委对其训练有所扶持。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

村子先设乡（1951年），1958年为大队，1984年重新设乡，1987年成为村民委员会，1990年设管理区，1995年再改为村委会。[1]
