郭屋村位于太平镇西北部，是镇内的革命老区，村委会距镇政府约23.5公里。[1]村委会行政中心设在郭屋自然村旁，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此地称棠梨坳。1950年起称郭屋乡，1958年成为郭屋大队；1983年复为乡建制，1986年起改为郭屋村委会，1989年划为管理区，1999年又回到村委会。[1]2019年9月，郭屋村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

村域面积20平方千米，耕地426亩，下辖14个村民小组，340户、1288人。以水稻、水果、黄竹和速生林为主。[1]
